  1. What is the Omaha Public Schools Foundation, and what is its mission?

    The Omaha Public Schools Foundation supports Omaha Public Schools by providing funding and resources to enhance educational opportunities for students and staff. Our mission is to enrich the lives of students, support educators, and promote innovation in the classroom.

  2. What Programs does the OPS Foundation administer that benefit the students of the Omaha Public School District.

    The OPS Foundation administers the day to day management and implementation of the Kids Club Before and After School Childcare in 36 OPS Elementary Schools and Parent Pre-Pay Early Childhood Education in 5 Elementary Schools throughout the District.

  3. How else does the Foundation support the students, teachers and families of the Omaha Public Schools.

    The Foundation administers gifts from generous donors distributing funds for scholarships, teacher classroom grants, curriculum enhancements and community partnerships. OPSF also administers funds for school fundraisers in support of the arts, STEM, sports and many other valuable programs enhancing educational opportunities for students.

  4. Who is eligible for scholarships offered through the OPS Foundation?

    Scholarships are available for Omaha Public Schools seniors who meet specific criteria set by each scholarship program. The application portal opens annually on November 1 and closes on March 3. Visit our Scholarship Portal for details.

  5. How can I donate to the OPS Foundation?

    You can donate online through our secure website or by mailing a check to our office. We also encourage participation in events like Giving Tuesday and other fundraising campaigns throughout the year. Visit our donation page to contribute today!
